Audit of EU-funds
Statskontoret is the National Audit Authority of EU funds, operating on a shared management basis. This means that the European Commission has overall responsibility for the funds but that the Member State Sweden is responsible for their implementation in Sweden.
Financial management
Statskontoret is an agency under the Government tasked with developing and administering the financial management of central government operations.
Forecast central government budget and public finances
Statskontoret makes independent forecasts and analyses of the central government budget and public finances.
Outcome of the central government
Statskontoret compiles and publishes the outcome of the central government budget both monthly and annually. The outcome is based on the central government agencies' reports in the central government information system Hermes.
